@ Acquisition of Production Plants in U.S.A.
@ ADVICS North America, Inc., a Subsidiaries of ADVICS Co., Ltd., announced today that it would acquire 100% ownership of SEI Brakes, Inc. and SAFA, L.L.C., which are located in Lebanon, Ohio and LaGrange, Georgia respectively, as of April 1, 2003.

Both facilities are subsidiaries of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., which is one of the shareholders of ADVICS Co., Ltd.
ADVICS North America, Inc. is aiming to promote sales in the North American market. Our goal is to strengthen our competitiveness by building a unified organization with sales, development and product manufacturing. Acquisition of the two companies will be funded by $60 million dollars of capital increase by ADVICS Co., Ltd.

Note: ADVICS Co., Ltd. will obtain the $60 million from its shareholders as increased capital. (Shareholders: AISIN SEIKI CO., LTD. 40%, DENSO CORPORATION, Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., and TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION each 20%).
