September 25, 2003 ADVICS establishes Marketing and Sales Companies for the ASEAN Market ADVICS Co., Ltd., a leading supplier of cutting-edge automotive brake systems and sophisticated brake components, announced today that it has established new wholly owned subsidiaries in Thailand and Indonesia for the marketing and sales of automotive brake systems and components in those countries. ADVICS set up these two subsidiaries to increase sales of brake systems and further expand its component business in the ASEAN market, in which the demand for automobiles is growing. ADVICS Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., with start-up capital of 40 million bahts (110 million yen), was established in Prachinburi, Thailand, on May 20, 2003, and immediately commenced marketing activities there. Headed by Satoshi Kawasumi, ADVICS Asia Pacific is responsible for procurement and sales of brake systems and components in Thailand, as well as for overseeing ADVICS's business operations in the ASEAN countries. The company employs 12 people and is aiming for sales totaling 3 billion bahts (8.5 billion yen) in fiscal year 2005. With capital of 1.4 billion rupiahs (20 million yen), PT. ADVICS INDONESIA was established in Bekasi City on September 3, 2003. This subsidiary will mainly pursue procurement and sales of brake systems and components for the Indonesian market. Shuzo Matsumoto has been named president, and he will serve concurrently as general manager of the Business Planning Department at ADVICS in Japan. At its startup, PT.
