ADVICS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kariya, Aichi, Japan; President: Takeshi Kawata) has established a company for producing brake parts in Chonburi Province, Thailand.
The purpose of establishing the new company is to promote local procurement and strengthen ASEAN operations as the foundation for expanding current business, pioneering new business and increasing sales in the after-market segment of the ASEAN automobile market, which continues to grow rapidly.
The new company plans to launch production in July 2013, and hire 360 people by 2016.
ADVICS views the establishment of a production base in Thailand as an opportunity for business expansion and global growth as a brake systems supplier.
