Promoting Activities of ESC

ADVICS makes every efforts toward gsafetyh. In order to help to as many people as possible the understand safety technology, ADVICS has been promoting activities to illustrate the benefits of ESC in reducing traffic accidents.

Dissemination rate of ESC

In Germany, 70% of new cars are equipped with ESC and in the US, NHTSA announced the obligation policy for standardization of ESC equipment. There, dissemination of ESC is gradually expanding. In Japan, the ESC equipment ratio is only 10%.

ESC dissemination committee

In addition to our own activities, in order to promote dissemination of ESC in Japan, ADVICS established the ESC dissemination committee with Bosch Corporation and Continental Autimotive Corporation in 2003. These companies are promoting activities in cooperation to uniformly address technology terms and to raise awareness.

Uniformity of address terms

As automobile manufacturer use their own terms for ESC, such as VSC and ESP, users are confused and this may cause non-dissemination of the activities. Therefore, we have proposed the uniformity of gESCh and we are promoting gESCh to automobile related organizations and to mass communication.
